11th April 2014: Irish energy supplier Naturgy was delighted to be finalists for the 2014 Green Awards, which were held in Dublin last night. Colm Kennedy, Managing Director of Naturgy said: “Being short-listed for the Green Energy Award category is a strong recognition of our commitment to delivering innovative renewable energy and efficiency solutions for our customers throughout Ireland.”
“We’re committed to working with Irish businesses over the coming years to reduce their carbon footprint and energy consumption. We see this as a vital part of our business as more and more companies seek access to green energy sources and limit the environmental impact of their activities.”
Vayu is the only energy supply company in Ireland to achieve a 100% renewable energy rating for all electricity supplied to its customers. As part of its green energy strategy, Naturgy uses an innovative power purchase agreement (PPA) model to work closely with renewable energy generation projects across the country, providing partners with hands-on advice on everything from planning permission, to grid connections right through to funding and delivery of renewable energy supply.
In addition to supplying green energy to businesses, Naturgy provides energy management tools that enable customers to monitor their energy consumption in real time, improve their facilities’ energy performance and ultimately reduce both their carbon footprint and energy costs.
